“Pastors are going to stand before God and give an accounting for that. [failing to exhort their congregations to vote for the convicted criminal] It’s criminal.”– Pastor Rob McCoy

Um… question back here in the back. Why would anyone need to “give an accounting” to a God who already knows everything?

  1. The theological answer is that any religious authority, as well as the members of their flocks, must (admit) their wrongdoings to God if they are going to be saved.

Be that as it may, what exactly are the wrongs that their pastor’s, Priests, and Rabbis etc. believe, while claiming all of us are equals in the eyes of God, yet keep committing anyway? I doubt they have anything to do with treating gay and Transexual people as being hopeless sinners, just because (their God supposedly thinks) they are? Isn’t that really all a matter of cultural taboos–not the idea that those who are gays or Transgenders are deliberately sinning against God?” I personally don’t understand why any God would (knowingly make) some people gay, and then condemn them just for being what he (or she) intended them be?

I think it’s all a bogus rallying point used by extreme clergymen to maintain the illusion of the good old days–(when men were men, women were women, and anybody claiming to have both masculine and feminine qualities was thought to be deliberately choosing their own, (sinful sexual orientations) and might as well as be claiming that (any) child born with an abnormality like my wife’s, who had, (Cerebral Palsy), made that way because they disobeyed God in the womb? It all makes no sense, but then it doesn’t have to–especially If it vexes those who support Trump enough to bolster their churches idea of being a superior moral authority–which is quite enough to keep our world in its deliberately chosen ignorance forever!

Apparently, thinking one knows all the answers is more comforting than having to face the truth by admitting one’s own fallibility! Most Churches implore their members to think for themselves, (until they give up the notion that their church’s group-thinking philosophies, are wrongfully renouncing their own disbeliefs, and only then, come crawling back into their original narrow minded group-think) and now considers their own rebellious beliefs to have been wrong i.e. and once again embrace their uniquely narrow minded group-think completely!

    • Allow me to correct this part of my comment:

“…abnormality. Like my wife’s, who had, (Cerebral Palsy), and was made that way because she disobeyed God in the womb? It all makes no sense, but then it doesn’t have to–especially If it vexes those who support Trump enough to bolster their churches idea of being the only, and superior moral authority–that is enlightened enough, to keep our world on the path to “righteousness” forever!
