Ownership is the definition of having control. If we own a car, we decide where to drive and who may drive with us. If we own a grocery store or, and or the corporate interests that supply us, are free to tell us how much to charge, or if we should charge those who by definition, have control.
If we own a car, we decide where to drive and who may drive with us. If we own a grocery store we or the corroborate interests that supply us, are free to tell us how much to charge, of if we should charge for the fruits of human bondage.. But all of these are considered non-human entities and thus are subject to regulation and the costs, of owning real people. Black slaves were considered none– humans, even they were forcefully uprooted from their cultures and sold at auction where purchasers often separated husbands from wive, and children from parents. This clearly heinous power held by slaves traders or by sellers of horses, which the owner is considered free to abuse. So if the worth of an entire society or country is determined by how humanely they treat their animals, how much more corrupt and institutionalized is the evil perpetrated by slave owners and traders? Even if they fought bravely in the Civil War, or in Word War2 they were not given any credit for their heroic action and their self sacrifices for America.
So if anything is considered evil, what better candidate for infamy exists than in the actions of powerful human human being who are free to torture, rape and abuse, (because the people they abuse are considered the owners property)? But the “good christian” owners of plantations demonstrated their compassion by singing, “That’s what Darkies Are For!”—a completely mad and bizarro world example, of a religious institution that is free to exonerate itself in the name of power and profits! Still, the current southern middle class does not contribute to racism, more than plantation owners and slave traders did. Still in many places around the world the Internet is still a way to enable powerful and clever people to get away with owning human being who are then forced to do slave labor, (at the behest of their all powerful owners).
Still, I think many southerners today do not think DOGE’s attack on the middle class, the violence of KKK, or the release of viscous dogs and officers with clubs, were free to attack and injure freedom riders because primarily those who came before them actually did worse things—but no Democrats is trying to blame their parents for the long history of slavery in America nor does history expect white southern children to hate themselves for the dark history created by those who went before them, who actually considered non-human slaves on par with cows, sheep, or dogs.
Black slaves were considered non humans, and they were forcefully uprooted from their cultures and sold at auction where purchasers often separated husbands from wive, and children from parents. This clearly heinous institution against for human dignity was held by slaves traders and the owners of horses who freely sold animals and human beings, both of which the owner considered free to beat and abuse. So if the worth of an entire society, or country, is determined by how humanely it treats its animals, how much more corrupt and institutionalized evil was perpetrated by slave owners and traders? Even though freed black slaves fought bravely in the Civil War, and later in Word War2. But Black soldiers were often not given credit for their heroic actions and their self sacrifices for America.
So if anything is considered evil, what better candidate for infamy exists than the actions of powerful human plantation owners being free to torture, rape and abuse, (because the objects of their abuse) were considered inhuman.

Human Arrogance;
