The Week In Stupid (Dec. 1-7)

Well, it was quite a week for participation trophies. And for the apotheosis of incompetence. At the same time. The biggest news story of the week was the harrowing ordeal of a University Of Oklahoma student –we’re not going to name her, because she’s already been awarded enough cheap publicity (though it’s worth noting that her mother was involved in mounting a legal defense for the Jan. 6 rioters). The poor thing received a failing grade on an assignment for a psychology class because she submitted an elementary school level essay that said her teacher was “demonic”, and included such priceless scientific gems as “Women naturally want to do womanly things because God created us with those womanly desires in our hearts.” So naturally her womanly desires led her to respond to the grade the way any red-blooded American conservative student would do: she filed a complaint with the administration, claiming “religious discrimination”; as a result, the teacher was placed on leave.

But it didn’t end there, of course. Her cause was vigorously championed by Turning Point USA, the organization co-founded by former incompetent college student Charlie Kirk for the purpose of promoting collegiate incompetence and self-righteous Conservative Christian entitlement. (True story: TPUSA has been ardently vocal about promoting guns and “resisting” measures to control the spread of infectious disease. Its two founders died of gun violence and COVID.) As a result, she has become a hero to the MAGA crowd because of her… well, something or other. She’s been featured on Fox “News”, and she and her allies have relentlessly spread the blatant lie that she was flunked because of her “religious views”. And then the legislature of Oklahoma (which proudly ranks 49th in education) presented her with a “Citation Of Recognition”. Unfortunately for her, anyone who’s actually read her “essay” recognizes her all too well.

And then there’s the White House Occupant, who’s never been able to bag a Nobel Prize despite all his foot-stamping and breath-holding until he turns a bluish shade of orange. And since appeasing the toddler should always be top priority of every organization in the world, the FIFA awarded him its highly coveted Peace Prize — its very first, astoundingly enough. And he responded with one of his characteristic rambles, in which he tried to curry favor with the NFL by suggesting that American football should be renamed. Meanwhile, California Governor Gavin Newsom, as always, has the perfect response.

“Here’s a Short n’ Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?” — the official response from the White House official account to a demand by singer Sabrina Carpenter that the administration stop using her song to accompany a video of the brutalization of refugee families.

“I don’t want to comment on it. The answer is yes.” — the White House Occupant, in response to a question from a journalist.

[It’s]“so galling” [that]“the leftists talk about Nick Fuentes like he’s a right-wing problem.” — Megyn Kelly of Fox “News”. Yeah, Megyn, why on earth would anyone have such an impression?

“You made it through hurricane season without a hurricane. You kept the hurricanes away, and we appreciate that.” — Kristi Noem to her Lord and Master. Yep, anyone who can keep away the hurricanes deserves a Lifetime Achievement Award from Kohl’s to say the least.

Other bootlickers on the cabinet also waxed rhapsodic over Dear Leader. Including Marco Rubio, who rambled on about what a dynamic leader His Lord is — while the latter, mere inches away from him, was snoozing away.

Well, they apparently caught the Jan. 6 pipe bomber. And naturally, the first priority of the FBI and the Department of Justice was to use the occasion as an attack on President Biden. When Biden was in office, however, at least one current high profile law enforcement official, Dan Bongino, was engaged in his true destiny as a podcaster. And he was claiming that the culprit was “a Democrat insider or an anti-Trump lunatic”. It turns out, however, that he was actually a pro-Trump lunatic who believed that the election was “stolen”. Bongino was questioned about his false claim by, of all people, Sean Hannity. And he replied, “Listen, I was paid in the past, Sean, for my opinions, that’s clear, and one day, I’ll be back in that space. But that’s not what I’m paid for now. I’m paid to be your deputy director, and we base our investigations on facts.” In other words, he was a two-bit lying grifter; and once he gets thrown under the bus by the boss (as ultimately happens to them all) he’ll go back to being a two-bit lying grifter. Nice of him to fess up to it.

  1. For the Duluth News Tribune;

    “A friend of mine pointed out that I was trying to use reason to change the minds of people who don’t understand reason. And unfortunately he is probably right—especially when it comes to individual’s having reverence for foundational family principles, because under that kind of philosophy, they would not consider (someone who was raised by Dairy Farmers, who loved the people in my community, and who still does not consider Miley Cyrus concerts to be a form of art)—to qualify for their underated success club? But I was raised to have a strong belief in foundational family principles–like being fair to others, not needing to be wealthy to succeed, and who understands why, in the movie “The wolf of Wall Street”– why, when an average guy was asked to invest his savings of $30,000 dollars—with the help of one of a firms sharp investment planers, who said he could make the guy ten times as much overnight–by investing it —his offer wars turned down! And when the talented artisan said he was happier making beautiful custom furniture, all the traders around him broke out in loud and uncontrollable laughter! You see what it really takes to be raised with solid middle class values is being nurtured by good parents and landing a good paying job, while not feeling you must become a huge success by making millions of dollars. You see the entire becoming rich thing just doesn’t matter that much to someone raised with strong middle class values. And for Gods sake, Jesus supported himself by being carpenter until it was time for him to do what God wanted him to! However money and wealth motivated people, just don’t seem to understand!
